Enrollment Checklist
Meet With Your Enrollment Counselor
You will work closely with your Enrollment Counselor by phone, email, or in person prior to submitting an application to the University. Your Enrollment Counselor will assist you in selecting your degree program, review your transcripts and provide you with an unofficial evaluation of credit, help you through the application process and finance forms, and register you for your first three courses.
Complete Your Application
After selecting your academic program with your Enrollment Counselor, you can access the application for admission from this Web site. Please complete ALL fields, and make sure to list ALL educational institutions attended in the past. After completing your application, you'll receive an email with additional instructions and links to the forms that must be completed, signed, and faxed to begin your admission process. Please be sure to follow all the instructions in the email to ensure that your application is complete and accurate.
Complete Your Transcript Request Forms
The Transcript Request Form is linked from your application welcome email. Complete a transcript request form for each institution you have previously attended. Veterans and current military servicemembers should also include your military transcripts to be reviewed for credit.
Complete Your Finance or Financial Aid Forms
Your Enrollment Counselor will review your financial options with you and help you select the payment plan option that is appropriate for you. You'll select your payment plan on the Student Finance Agreement that is included in the application, and follow the instructions in your application welcome email to complete and submit your signed finance forms or begin the financial aid application process.
Application Fee
A non-refundable application fee of $25.00 must be paid once your application is submitted and before you can be registered for your first class.
Register For Your Classes
Upon receipt of all of the above completed documentation and once your application processing is completed, your Enrollment Counselor will assist you with selecting and registering for your first three courses at WIU. Class availability is on a first-come, first-served basis and early registration is suggested.
Purchase Your Books
You can order your textbooks online or by phone from the WIU Bookstore located at the Phoenix Campus.
