Arizona Community College Associate Degrees
Western International University (WIU) has established articulation agreements for students who have attended the following public community colleges in Arizona:
- Arizona Western College
- Central Arizona College
- Cochise College
- Maricopa County Community Colleges - Chandler-Gilbert, Estrella Mountain, GateWay, Glendale, Mesa, Paradise Valley, Phoenix, Rio Salado, Scottsdale, and South Mountain
- Mohave Community College
- Yavapai College
Private Institution Associate Degrees
WIU has also established articulation agreements for students who have attended these private institutions:
- Universal Technical Institute (UTI)
- The Art Institute of Phoenix
- Everest College Phoenix
Other Associate Degrees
WIU offers these additional opportunities for transfer credits to be applied:
- Nationwide Associate of Arts Block Transfer or Associate of Applied Science Pathway

Transfer Credits
Students holding a prequalifying associate degree will be guaranteed a specific number of transfer credits that apply toward their WIU bachelor degree program, as follows:
- Bachelor of Arts in Human Resource Management – 54 credits (UTI – 18 credits)
- Bachelor of Arts in Behavioral Science, Criminal Behavior, Legal Studies, or Professional Communication – 57 credits (UTI – 21 credits)
- Bachelor of Science degree programs – 60 credits (UTI – 21 or 36 credits)

Block Transfer
The Block Transfer is one option offered as part of WIU’s transfer plans for students seeking a Western International University (WIU) Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree and applies 54-60 transfer credits toward WIU General Education requirements. Upon receipt of an official, degree-posted transcript indicating completion of a prequalifying associate degree, the Block Transfer is automatically applied at the time of admittance. Pathway
The Pathway is a second option offered as part of WIU’s transfer plans for students seeking a WIU Bachelor of Science in Business degree only and applies 60 transfer credits toward WIU General Education and major requirements. Upon receipt of an official, degree-posted transcript indicating completion of a prequalifying associate degree, a student's coursework is eligible for the Pathway. In order for the Pathway to be applied, the appropriate Student Acknowledgement Form (see links below) must be completed and faxed as indicated on the form. If the form is not submitted, a Block Transfer or course-by-course evaluation is completed. To request the Pathway for a prequalified associate degree:
- Request that official transcripts be sent to WIU. Click here for the transcript request form and instructions.
- Complete the appropriate Student Acknowledgement Form linked below:
